As long as there is an active gas line to interior of the firebox, a gas log set can be installed.

Because fireplaces get wider towards the opening make sure to put a tape measure to the middle of left side and run it to the middle of the right side of your firebox. Most standard fireboxes with a 36" opening will take an 18" gas log set
